The authorities’ tax amnesty initiatives are an attempt by the authorities to make money on Ukrainians. This was stated by economist Boris Kushniruk, commenting on the initiatives of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada on tax amnesty.

Let us remind you that in the first reading the bill # 5153 on the so-called “tax amnesty” or one-time (special) voluntary declaration of assets of individuals was adopted. According to the document, citizens must pay a one-time fee of 5% on assets placed in the accounts of Ukrainian banks; 9% for 2.5% placed abroad on the value of government bonds purchased in the period from January 1, 2021 to June 20, 2022, even if these funds were earned legally and all taxes were paid. But, for some unknown reason, an airplane, a helicopter, a boat and a yacht are not declared (one for one citizen).
