Austria: German dies in mountain climbing

In Tyrol, a 67-year-old German died in a mountain climbing accident. The man had lost his grip on the pilgrim’s ski not far from the German-Austrian border despite the safety rope, the police said.

He crashed 150 meters over rocky terrain. He suffered fatal injuries.

The 67-year-old was reportedly traveling with his 36-year-old son. According to the police from the pilgrim professor in the municipality of Pflach, the two wanted to undertake the crossing of the twelve apostles to the Säuling.

However, due to the slippery and difficult conditions, they changed their plans and turned towards pilgrims. On the way back there was an accident.
