Austria closes for tourists from Ukraine – entry rules from 22 November

“Due to the closure of hotels, hostels, shopping centers, cafes and restaurants, trips to Austria for tourism purposes are not possible,” the embassy explained.

The Ukrainians who go to Austria for good reasons will be able to cross the border, namely:

  • visiting relatives;
  • treatment;
  • family circumstances;
  • business travel;
  • wedding;
  • funeral and the like.

Vaccinated citizens from November 22 will be able to enter Austria without prior registration and mandatory quarantine. To do this, you need to have a certificate confirming the completion of the full course of vaccination, however, the second dose must be made more than 14 days before entry. Certificates in Die are recognized.

Registration and quarantine are also not needed for COVID-19 recovery certificate holders. The certificate must be issued in English or German.

Other Ukrainians will have to go through the mandatory 10-day quarantine, have a negative coronavirus test with them, and also register their trip on the website – entry.ptc.gv.at.
