Auction of armored trucks ready in Baja California Sur

La Paz.- The Government of the State of Baja California Sur will auction 18 vans, seven of them armored, as part of the austerity policy, reported Finance Secretary Bertha Montaño Cota.

The official recalled that at the beginning of the administration they promised to establish an austerity policy that included cutting the salaries of officials, the rent of government houses and now the sale of armored trucks, whose auction process will begin next Wednesday.

He specified that interested persons should go to the Subdirectorate of Administration in the Government Palace and referred that the units correspond to the years 2011 to 2017.

He explained that it can be offered by vehicle, preferably or in batch.

“They have already been previously evaluated and there is a minimum initial price,” he told the media.

The official added that the auction will be held from June 10 to 15 and the resources will be used to purchase ambulances for communities lagging behind in this emergency care service.

For his part, the Governor Victor Castro Cosio He stressed that it is expected to collect about 10 million pesos and address the ambulance deficit in the state.

“There are communities in rural areas above all, where they are needed. Communities like Todos Santos or El Sargento, San Juanico, and they will be distributed there, and in other distant communities. The entire process will be public,” he assured.

The vans are displayed on the esplanade of the Government Palace in La Paz.

Last week, the state government also announced that the Government House known as “El Caimancito” was rented, in a beach area in this city and where at least 300 million pesos were invested in its remodeling.

It will be rented to operate as a luxury hotel, and 660 thousand pesos per month will be paid to the state government, a cost that generated controversy on social networks, as it is considered low by some of the users, compared to the millionaire investment for its operation as an official residence. .
