Michael Jackson’s glitter glove is an iconic piece of pop history. At an auction in the United States, it was sold for a lot of money, along with many other high-priced entertainment memorabilia.

A white sequin glove by pop star Michael Jackson (1958-2009), which the singer wore on his “Victory” tour in 1984, sold for a good 112,000 dollars (around 95,000 euros). This was announced by the US auction house Heritage Auctions.

In addition to the glittering glove of the “King of Pop”, hundreds of items went under the hammer as part of an auction of music and entertainment memorabilia.

A bidder paid just under $ 119,000 for a rare concert poster from 1958, which lists rock and roll greats like Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. The colorful poster announces 16 musicians and bands for three “Big Beat” concerts in Madison (Wisconsin) with hits like “Peggy Sue”, “Great Balls of Fire” and “Sweet Little 16”.

A 1966 black and white poster of a Jefferson Airplane concert in San Francisco, in the style of psychedelic pop art, fetched more than $ 11,000. More than two dozen bidders drove up the price of a flyer from one of Bob Dylan’s first major appearances in New York. The 1963 flyer was auctioned for a good $ 4,000.

A series of memorabilia from rock singer Linda Ronstadt (“Heart Like A Wheel”) raised over $ 65,000. The most expensive piece was a black grand piano that Ronstadt had bought for their home in San Francisco. The grand piano from the instrument manufacturer Yamaha changed hands for $ 35,000.
