The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced that there was a legal attempt to kill his assistant, the commander of the special forces of Akhmat and deputy commander of the second army corps, Apta Alaudinov. Kadyrov wrote this on his Telegram channel.
“Friends, our dear brother, Hero of Russia, assistant to the head of the Chechen Republic, commander of the special forces “Akhmat” and deputy commander of the Second Army Corps Apti Alaudinov was poisoned a few days ago. I will reassure you: now everything is fine with him okay,” Kadyrov wrote.
According to him, on February 8, Alaudinov’s adjutant received an envelope soaked in a poisonous substance, addressed to the general.
“Aptius Aronovich understood this by the corrosive specific smell and took timely measures: he processed his hands and washed the nasal cavity. The general’s adjutants who were in contact with the envelope did the same.
One of them, who turned out to be a professional toxicologist, managed to avoid serious consequences,” Kadyrov said.
He added that the injured are in a Moscow clinic and are recovering. Specialists are analyzing and identifying the poisonous substance, and in parallel there is an investigation into the assassination attempt and the identification of those involved.
