Attacks are getting more intense, the Taliban claim to control 90% of Afghanistan’s borders

ACCEPTANCE – Group Taliban claims to have controlled 90 percent of the border Afghanistan following their increasingly intense attacks when the United States (US) troops and their allies left.

The claim was made by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid. However, these claims could not be independently verified.

“Afghanistan’s borders with Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran, or about 90 percent of the border, are under our control,” Mujahid told the news agency. RIA Novosti.

The Taliban militants spread across Afghanistan, seizing territory, seizing border crossings and surrounding towns, where the withdrawal of US and NATO troops was all completed.

The resurgent militant group now controls about half of Afghanistan’s roughly 400 districts.

Mujahid told RIA Novosti that the Taliban will not tolerate the ISIS or Daesh terrorist groups in Afghanistan.

“We assure you that we will not allow ISIS [Daesh] active in the country, in the areas under our control,” he said.

“There are no militants from Central Asia or China in the district,” he added.
