Rio de Janeiro: Tite, who was the coach of the Brazil soccer team, was attacked and robbed during the World Cup. The Brazilian newspaper O Globo reports that the attack occurred around 6:00 when he was out for a morning run near his home in Rio de Janeiro. The man who questioned Brazil’s exit from the Qatar World Cup and shouted at Tite. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
In the quarterfinals, Brazil lost to Croatia in a penalty shootout. Tite has stepped down as manager after Brazil were eliminated from the World Cup. Tite has been Brazil manager since 2016. Under him he managed Brazil in 81 matches, winning 61, drawing 12 and losing seven.
The best result was winning the Copa America title in 2018. Apart from the 2018 World Cup, in 2022 Brazil will not be able to go beyond the quarter-finals, which led to his resignation.
