CERT Poland warns against massive action SMS, the purpose of which is to be phones running on the operating system Android. Text messages are to be sent to randomly selected phone numbers. According CERT information they are intended to report alleged quarantine or lost documents.

In fact, installing a downloaded file will result in infection with a malicious banking Trojan from the Cerberus family. inter alia, credentials for mobile banking “- we read in the warning published on CERT Polska’s Facebook page.

The Trojan will have access to our sensitive data

If you click on the link sent and activate the Trojan, the fraudsters will get access to sensitive data stored on our phones. Fraudsters will be able to authenticate, among others banking transactions. CERT emphasizes that in the case of this type of attack, simply clicking on the link is not a threat. Malware needs to be downloaded and installed.

The Chief Sanitary Inspector has already addressed the matter, warning against messages from fraudsters:
