Police are searching for a group they say attacked a 21-year-old man dressed in traditional Jewish clothing in Brooklyn on Friday. The group allegedly punched him, kicked him and forced him to the ground, authorities said Saturday.
According to investigators, the victim was walking Gerry Street, around 8:00 p.m., in the Williamsburg area, when the suspects attacked him. The victim suffered minor injuries to the mouth and was treated by paramedics at the scene. The suspected attackers fled.
The New York City Police Department said its Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
Authorities released surveillance footage in the case. Anyone with information is asked to confidentially call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-57-TIP.
