Atletico Vs Espanyol: Los Colchoneros Win Dramatically

Atletico Madrid win 2-1 over Espanyol in the continuation of La Liga. The sweet result was obtained by Los Colchoneros after playing with 10 men and VAR drama in injury time.

Atletico vs Espanyol took place at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Sunday (17/4/2022) night WIB. Both teams played to a goalless draw in the first half.

Atletico were able to steal the advantage first when the second half had only been running for five minutes through Yannick Carrasco. When they were ahead, Atletico actually lost players after Geoffrey Kondogbia was given a second yellow card.

Espanyol then managed to equalize the score to 1-1. It was Raul de Tomas who listed his name on the scoreboard.

Espanyol threatened first through Leandro Cabrera’s header. The ball leads to the goal, but can still be overcome by Jan Oblak.
