Atlas Fallen: A Controversial Release with Mixed Reviews

Today marks the release of the action role-playing game Atlas Fallen on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. This is a new project of the creators of the series The Surge from the studio Deck 13.

On Steam the first user reviews for the new product have already appeared, so far there are only 35, and its overall rating turned out to be “mixed” – the project is recommended by only 42% of the players.

Many users agreed that Atlas Fallen turned out to be very boring, and neither a pretty picture nor good optimization can save it. Some players also complain about “clumsy” combat, an empty world, a bad camera, and not very good voice acting.

As for the users who liked Atlas Fallen, their aforementioned problems in the game did not bother them. They liked the gameplay, and they also believe in the potential of the novelty, which can be revealed in the future. In addition, Atlas Fallen reminded some players of the series Darksiders.

As for the critics, they appreciated the novelty yesterday. Their reaction is also turned out to be controversial.

Currently on aggregator Opencritic Atlas Fallen has 67% positive reviews. On Metacritic, the situation is as follows:

In general, critics were satisfied with the combat system and customization options. At the same time, the majority agreed that the plot of Atlas Fallen turned out to be very boring.

Everything else caused different reactions among journalists: some were not against desert locations and battles with monsters, while others, on the contrary, were disappointed with the empty world and combat gameplay.
