Clint Capela’s Atlanta Hawks began their long eight-game away journey with a 99-94 success on the floor of the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA.
The Genevan was once again impressive on the rebounds with 16 catches. He also registered eight points for 22’54 of play. This success allows the Hawks to celebrate an eighth success in a row and occupy the 4th place in the Eastern Conference.
Lakers superstar LeBron James severely twisted his right ankle in a collision with an Atlanta player and did not finish the game.
His cry of pain tore the silence of Staples Center at the start of the second quarter. In the fight for a ball he collided with Solomon Hill, who in his fall first bent ‘LBJ’s right knee slightly, then caused a much more pronounced twist of the ankle towards the outside.
Immediately, James grabbed his right leg, twisting in pain. A few seconds later, he finally got up and regained his bench with difficulty.
To everyone’s surprise, the 36-year-old winger immediately joined the floor to resume play and even scored a three-point basket, after which he landed on the only left leg.
More fear than harm? Not necessarily, since he could not continue the game, forced to finally return to the locker room, limping, a flying chair on his way, victim of his frustration.
The Lakers then announced that he would not be returning to finish this game.
