At the mosque management, realize that the hospital is full

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan asking mosque administrators in the capital to be aware of the risk of transmission covid in the present. He conveyed the request in relation to a number of mosques in Jakarta holding Eid al-Adha prayers in congregation during the Emergency PPKM period.

According to Anies, in addition to emphasizing the syariah, the mosque administrators should also take part in maintaining the safety of the people.

“I hope everyone is aware of the risk of contagion. We all care about the syariah being implemented well but safety is also maintained,” said Anies Baswedan at RPH Dharma Jaya as quoted from Antara, Tuesday (20/7) night.

Anies said he also issued a warning because the pandemic had almost filled Jakarta’s hospital occupancy.

“To the mosque administrators, please realize that the hospital is full. So this is not just forbidden, it’s a difficult place to be sick,” said Anies Baswedan

Anies added that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government had actually issued Governor’s Call number 11 of 2021 regarding the implementation of Eid al-Adha during Emergency PPKM.

“So I remind you not only the potential for transmission but if you are exposed to illness the risk is very high,” said Anies Baswedan.

Anies also expressed his gratitude to the people of Jakarta who have complied with the Governor’s Call number 11 of 2021 such as performing Eid prayers at home to the implementation of the slaughter of sacrificial animals at the slaughter house (RPH).

“Alhamdulillah, today’s residents of Jakarta generally obey the recommendation to hold Eid al-Adha prayers at home. Then the cutting activities are carried out at the RPH, if a committee is carried out, only the committee will do it,” said Anies.
