The young woman still has tears in her eyes, when she relives, in court, the scene which took place, at the beginning of the evening of January 3, 2021.
“He stabbed Rico. I saw spurts of blood coming out of his neck! »
She explains that she was so shocked by the violence of the scene that she did not realize that she too had been stabbed in the side.
She knows the attacker well. “He’s my ex-boyfriend, with whom I stayed for five years. »
A tumultuous relationship, according to her, punctuated by violence and ruptures: “I was afraid of him and reprisals. I always came back. »
She describes a violent man:
“When we were together, if I didn’t go her way, I don’t know what was going to happen to me. »

In the defendants’ box, Elyamin Fahri, 25, has been detained since his arrest.
Initially, the file had been opened as a criminal, for attempted murder of the new companion of the young woman. In the end, he was tried before the criminal court for violence with a weapon, with premeditation.

That evening, Rico, the young woman’s new companion, receives threatening messages from his rival.
He is with his companion, part of the family of which is present, in the apartment of Épernon.
The defendant assures:
“I wanted to surprise my girlfriend. I realized that Rico was in the same apartment. I did not support. »

Yet the young woman assures that she had been clear with him. “I had left him for several weeks. I had even changed my phone number. Elyamin Fahri disputes. “I didn’t know we weren’t together anymore. »
When he gets to the facts, he heads for the apartment. The young woman testifies:
“I saw him coming through the window. I wanted to lock the front door. I opened it by mistake. »

From this moment, all the testimonies agree.
The aggressor allegedly threw himself on his rival, hitting him on the neck with a knife he took out of his pocket. The young woman would have received a stab in the side when she intervened.
However, the defendant, during the trial, has a completely different version:
“When I arrived, Rico took a knife out of his satchel. I felt threatened. I managed to disarm him. I touched it unintentionally while twirling the knife. »

A neighbor sees him leave. “He came down the stairs calmly threatening and insulting Rico. »
“An attitude that does not correspond with someone who felt threatened,” notes the public prosecutor. “It was he who brought the knife”, assures the magistrate.

As for Elyamin Fahri, already sentenced for acts of violence and domestic violence, he was sentenced to five years in prison, including three and a half years in prison. He is kept in detention.
