In the municipality of Romans-sur-Isère in southeastern France, a man stabbed several people. At least two victims died and four people were injured.
Several French media reports that there are even seven injured. Some of them are said to have been seriously injured.
According to the mayor of the municipality, which is located about 100 kilometers south of Lyon, the stabbing took place outside a bakery around 11am, where people were waiting in line in front of the door. The French channel BFMTV reports that the perpetrator has entered the knife with several companies.
The police have arrested a suspect. According to French media, this is a man from Sudan aged 32 or 33. He would not be known to the police. Nothing is yet known about his motive.
