At least 488 people have been killed since the beginning of the protests

The Iranian Human Rights Organization announced that at least 488 citizens were killed during the Iranian popular uprising and that 107 other detained protesters are at risk of execution. Amnesty International has also published more details of the torture of protesters facing execution.

The Iranian Organization for Human Rights indicated that 64 of the dead were children and 39 of them were women, saying that most of the dead were from the provinces of Baluchistan, West Azerbaijan, Tehran, Kurdistan and Mazandaran.

According to this organization, 107 of the detainees are at risk of issuing or executing the death sentence, of whom 19 are sentenced to death and some of them are in the appeal stage.

Mehdi Mohammadifard’s nose was broken as a result of the beating at the time of his arrest, and he also suffered injuries and anal bleeding as a result of rape.

In this report, Amnesty International calls for immediate action to overturn the death sentences handed down to these demonstrators.

On the other hand, the process of arrests and harsh sentences against other demonstrators also continues.

The brother of Fatemeh Sepehri, a political activist, announced the initial sentence of one year in prison and a fine of 20 million tomans for his sister. Sepehri was arrested on September 21, when security forces raided her home, and she is now in Vakilabad prison in Mashhad.

Despite Sepehri’s need for medical care, her detention order has been extended three times.

According to reports, Ait (Yazdan) Arefi Nia, a civil activist from Abdanan, was arrested in Tehran on November 2 and is still in Ilam Central Prison without a lawyer.
