At concert: Fans sing “Happy Birthday” for Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney (80) has a special connection to his fans! The Beatles star has been on the stages of this world for decades. After the end of the cult band, the Brit started a successful solo career. Today Paul is 80 years old – and is currently on the road again with many concerts. On Thursday he played at MetLife Stadium near New York City – and the fans celebrated his big day in advance!

As Fox News now reported went about half of Pauls Show a rumble from the 60,000-strong audience. Some fans started singing “Happy Birthday” – and the whole stadium joined in. Two days before his milestone anniversary, the rock legend received a very special serenade from the audience. Most of them were probably not even born when they Beatles started their fabulous career.

two years ago would have Pauls former bandmate John Lennon (✝40) celebrated his 80th birthday. on Instagram the musician shared an old photo showing him with his friend who was murdered in 1980. “I love this snap. It reminds me of the connection we had. Happy 80th Birthday, John. With love Paul”he wrote.
