Aston Martin presents models inspired by James Bond film series | NOW

Whoever says James Bond says Aston Martin. The British brand therefore leaves no opportunity to bring that link back to the attention. With barely three months until the release of No Time To Die Aston Martin thinks it’s time for new models inspired by the film series.

The first newcomer is the Aston Martin Vantage 007 Edition. For this, a standard Vantage has been taken care of by Aston Martin’s Q department, a reference to the quartermaster (Q) from the movies, or the person responsible for all gadgets and vehicles.

The Q division drew inspiration from the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Series 3 in the development of the Vantage 007 Edition. This model was first used in the film. The Living Daylights (1987). In No Time To Die James Bond will literally and figuratively dust this car.

The V8 Vantage featured skis and a jet engine in the movie. The skis get a place on the back of the Vantage 007 Edition. The yellow accents are a reference to the yellow warning stripes next to the jet engine of the original.

Edition of one hundred pieces

The film also plays an important role for a cello case, with which Bond escapes his attackers by using it as a sled. Aston Martin’s Q department has shaped the shells of the front seat backs to resemble a cello case.

The storage compartment between the front seats has a panel that resembles the control unit of the gadgets of the film car.

Aston Martin will build a hundred copies of the Vantage 007 Edition. The price of the car in the United Kingdom is set at 161,000 pounds (over 177,800 euros).

Also 007 Edition of the DBS Superleggera

In addition, Aston Martin comes with a DBS Superleggera 007 Edition, of which only 25 copies will be produced. No references to the past here. This model is exactly like the car featured in the movie in November No Time To Die will be on display.

The price tag is no less, as Aston Martin charges £ 279,025 for the special DBS Superleggera. The first copies will be delivered early next year.
