“Assets ready to seize their own path” (Bruno Lucas, DGEFP)

“The crisis acts in openness, in development, in desire to realize oneself, to retrain, to train”, indicated Julie Gaillot, director of the Society pole of the CSA institute, commenting on the results of the second training and employment Barometer produced by Center Inffo in partnership with the CSA institute. The agility of assets and their mobility are unexpected, when the context of the crisis gave rise to fears of a withdrawal into oneself and into one’s job, she said, during a webinar organized by Center Inffo on Wednesday February 10.

If the crisis has damaged the confidence that working people place in their future professional (68%, – 7 points compared to February 2020), especially older people and blue-collar workers, 49% consider changing jobs in the short term. or medium term, a desire for mobility for which vocational training is a crucial issue. For Bruno Lucas, general delegate for employment and vocational training, “ there is indeed a decline in confidence in the professional future very linked to the context of the crisis, but the conviction of the working people that their profession will evolve is an element of collective lucidity on the levers to be activated ».

Training is increasingly considered: nine out of ten working people consider it necessary to maintain their employability (+4 points), a chance to develop professionally (89%, +2), and fewer consider it useless (27%, – 9 points). They take their share of responsibility in this area, 78% consider that it is above all their responsibility to train (+14 points) and 86% think that they are the first players in their career, ahead of training organizations ( 75%) and businesses (74%).

“A national issue”

« That’s very good news, for Bruno Lucas, the working people are ready to take their own path, which was precisely the orientation of the 2018 law. But the question of skills is a national issue for the public authorities. It is the responsibility of the assets, but also of companies, of society as a whole to ensure that companies have the skills they need for the benefit of collective development. »

Patrice Guézou, CEO of Center Inffo, said to himself “ sensitive to the fact that employees are actors in their career path life “, which requires” appropriate responses from the training ecosystem “. For him, the confidence shown by employees is ” the result of the enrichment of the training offer in the regions », With learning territories, “Via digital platforms which have multiplied with the constrained period we are living through. Confidence is there and the working people are attentive to environments conducive to engagement in training ”.

Notoriety or not …

Some devices are better known than others, such as CPF. A success for Bruno Lucas: “ The challenge of the CPF is to give a principle of law and to work concretely on the way in which it is accessed. Without intermediary, through an application downloaded more than 7 million times, it works! The device is part of the daily life of users and I am confident the more recent devices will take their place in the landscape. »

The Barometer still reveals, for more than half of the respondents, a feeling of being poorly informed, a key issue for Center Inffo. Patrice Guézou said: “ We cannot be satisfied with this shared feeling vis-à-vis the information on the devices… The information deserves to be articulated, we must work better together, to collect data from the branches, Opco, Carif -Oref, educate and enhance. It is a very beautiful public information service project on professional mobility ! »

The second edition of the Barometer left plenty of room for retraining, a topical subject if ever there was one. Another surprise for Julie Gaillot, the number 1 reason motivating the desire for retraining, expressed by 47% of working people, is to find a job close to their values, in front of improving employability and remuneration. ” The crisis exacerbates the search for meaning “, She notes, especially for executives and residents of Île-de-France.

For Bruno Lucas, “ one of the first elements for retraining is to have a training course and clear access to funding ».

Expressing a satisfecit for the measures supported by the public authorities during the crisis (FNE-training, recovery plan), he mentioned the ambitions of Collective Transitions: “ This original system is being put in place and responds to the individual challenges of people who want and need to retrain and to the challenges of our territories and our companies. »
