Assen teacher convicted of sex with students: 100 hours community service | Inland

Between September 2018 and the beginning of 2020, the woman from Hoogeveen had sexual contact with two boys aged 16 and 17 years old at the time. She herself went to the police in January 2020 to say “clean house.” She was gossiped at school because one of the boys bragged about having sex with the woman. She was fired after reporting to the police.

The court takes the matter seriously. “She was between 28 and 30 years old when it happened. Although it was by mutual consent and not reported, sexual contact with students is against the socio-ethical norm and can be harmful to the development of the students.”

Was bad in her skin

The Hoogeveense has stated that she was in a bad mood because of hormone treatments that she had to undergo during that period and that she had a bad marriage. She had good contact with her students. She had intimate app contact with the two boys. She also sent sexually explicit photos of herself. “I needed attention, but I was looking for the wrong one,” she said. “I’ve done very stupid things.”

The Public Prosecution Service had also demanded a five-year professional ban. The court does not consider that necessary. The woman’s Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) has been revoked, meaning that she can no longer work as a teacher in any case.
