Accident escape in dam
During the course of Friday there was a traffic accident escape in Damm. The driver of a VW Multivan parked her vehicle around 6:30 p.m. in the Haselmühlweg area. At around 11:30 p.m., the owner discovered that her vehicle had been damaged in the meantime. A hitherto unknown vehicle hit the driver’s side of the parked VW. The person who caused the accident then left the scene of the accident without permission in his vehicle. An attentive witness was able to observe the accident, so that initial indications of who caused it are available. Property damage to the VW amounted to around 6000 EUR.
Rear-end collision with three vehicles
On Friday afternoon there was a rear-end collision between three vehicles on Kahlgrundstrasse. The driver of a Renault had to stop at a red light due to traffic. The driver of a subsequent Opel recognized the stopping Renault and came to a stop in time. However, the driver of a BMW recognized the Opel driving in front of her too late and drove into it. As a result of the impact, the Opel was ultimately pushed onto the holding Renault. The accident resulted in total damage of around EUR 3,000.
When red across the intersection
At the intersection of Müllerstrasse and Ottostrasse there was a traffic accident on Friday afternoon with property damage of around 6000 EUR.
The driver of a Ford was driving on Müllerstrasse from Hanauer Strasse. At around 2:45 p.m. he wanted to cross the intersection to Ottostraße straight ahead. Presumably because of the low sun, the driver of the Ford overlooked the red light of the traffic light system. In the intersection area, there was a collision with an Audi, which, coming from Schönbergweg, entered the intersection when the light was green.

Scooter thieves caught in the act
Two suspects stole two city scooters worth around EUR 200 in the area of Suicardusstrasse on Friday afternoon. The suspects were observed by civilian officers from the Würzburg riot police. The two accused, aged 20 and 21, were then checked by uniformed colleagues from the riot police and the two City Scooters were handed over to their rightful owners. The two suspects now have to answer for a particularly serious case of theft.

Accident escape in Großostheim
On Friday afternoon there was a traffic accident escape in the parking lot of the EDEKA supermarket in Aschaffenburger Straße. The driver of a BMW parked in a corner parking lot at around 4:20 p.m. At around 4:55 p.m., the injured party noticed that her vehicle had been damaged by an unknown car in the meantime. The person who caused the accident then left the scene of the accident without permission. Property damage to the BMW amounted to around EUR 3,000.

Wenighösbach: Between 8:00 p.m. Friday evening and 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning, cars parked in Dorfstraße were damaged. The injured party parked his VW Polo in the parking lot of a hotel. Accident / traffic situation:
In the reporting period, a total of two simple traffic accidents occurred on the motorways and their parking lots in the Bavarian Lower Main. Fortunately, nobody was injured, the total damage is around 300 euros. A detailed description of these accidents is not given. The accidents did not result in any relevant traffic disruptions.

Narcotics carried in the vehicle
Aschaffenburg, A3 direction Frankfurt. An Opel was found parked in the Strietwald-Nord car park on Friday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. This was occupied by three male people between the ages of 24 and 29 who were searched for. During the search of the luggage that had been carried, a seal with initially unknown contents was found on one of the inmates. It was later found to be a small amount of amphetamine. The anesthetic was secured so the three people could continue their journey.
Driven under the influence of narcotics
Weibersbrunn, A3 direction Würzburg. During a general traffic check on Friday at 9.45 a.m., a seat from the Neuwied registration area was checked at the Spessart-Süd rest area. During the inspection, the officers were able to perceive a latent scent of marijuana, but only found adherence of the anesthetic. However, the 27-year-old driver showed drug-typical abnormalities, which is why a blood sample was taken. After completing all the measures, the 21-year-old co-driver had to continue driving. If the result is positive, the driver can expect a heavy fine in addition to a driving ban.
Novice drivers caught drinking and driving
Weibersbrunn, A3 direction Frankfurt. An Opel from the Forchheim district was checked early on Saturday morning at around 04:45 a.m. at the Spessart-Nord rest area. A voluntary breath alcohol test on the 19-year-old novice driver sitting in the driver’s seat gave a value of 0.50 per mil. Since his co-driver of the same age was also no longer able to drive the vehicle, the keys to prevent him from continuing his journey were secured. The officials could not provide proof of the journey. However, they were only allowed to start the rest of the journey when they were absolutely sober.
Illegal truck driver checked
Stockstadt, A3 direction Würzburg. A 32-year-old Turkish truck driver was checked by officers from the Aschaffenburg-Hösbach traffic police. During the inspection, the driver showed a German shipping company a visa that allowed him to stay in Germany only as a tourist. However, since the driver was demonstrably doing his job as a driver, his visa lost its validity, which according to the legal text was to be regarded as an illegal stay. In addition to the missing visa, the inspection revealed a large number of other violations, including those under the Driver and Professional Driver Qualification Act.
Nothing learned from warning
Weibersbrunn, A3 direction Würzburg. On Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., a Romanian Mercedes Sprinter was checked at the Hösbach junction. Since the passenger had obviously not put on the mandatory seat belt while driving, he was warned by the officers with a fine and extensively instructed to use seat belts. Fire prevented thanks to rapid intervention
Alzenau, A45 towards Aschaffenburg. Thanks to the rapid intervention of a crew of the Bavarian Red Cross, a fire in a Fiat could possibly be avoided. The 63-year-old driver noticed smoke rising from the engine compartment of his vehicle in the construction site area late on Friday evening and steered the vehicle with presence of mind onto the hard shoulder.
