As of today, several European countries are loosening corona restrictions

Museums and attractions in Italy are allowed to reopen after more than two months of the Corona lock – but few do so on the first day. A spokeswoman said that the Colosseum in Rome would not open until the end of May. Until then, strict safety rules would be implemented, for example, thermal scanners should be used to measure the temperature.

The Vatican Museums, one of the most visited museums in the world, and the archaeological sites in Pompeii are also preparing for opening. In Venice, the Doge’s Palace should only be accessible again from June, the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence with Michelangelo’s David wants to open on June 2nd. Strict distance rules then apply in exhibitions and museums; only a limited number of visitors are allowed in. Some houses want to open this week, including the Capitoline Museums in Rome on Tuesday. The Uffizi Gallery in Florence also hope to open quickly.
