As a centurion, Gáspár Orbán works on the preparation of the Chadian military mission

Viktor Orbán’s son, Gáspár Orbán, is involved in the preparation of the Chadian military mission as a member of the Cabinet of the Minister of National Defense. According to the paper, the news of Gáspár Orbán’s death is spreading on social media. Apropos of this, they asked him where and in what rank the prime minister’s son serves. The Minister of National Defense stated:

“Gáspár Orbán is a military officer, an excellently trained Hungarian military officer who also qualified at the Sandhurst Academy in the United Kingdom. He goes where he is told to go. I assigned him as liaison officer. It’s an army, not a wish show, and he’s on a mission.”

With Gáspár Orbán’s special legal knowledge and language skills, the minister explained why he transferred him from his corps to the minister’s cabinet. In response to the rumors circulating on social media, he said:

“The captain is in excellent health.”

Gáspár Orbán in 2019 joined the army. In June of the same year, he took the oath at the training squadron of the 2nd MH brave Bertalan Árpád Special Purpose Brigade in Szolnok. The Prime Minister was also present at the event. All this was reported by Szolnok TV at the time, but the video and the gallery capturing the swearing-in were taken down not long after.

In 2020, the Prime Minister’s son completed the 9-month training at the elite British military school, the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy (RMAS), which cost nearly HUF 40 million. For this, he had to sign a study contract, in which he agreed to serve at home for 5 years in exchange for the support of the Ministry of National Defense.
