Projekt manhattan is a new cultural place and an alternative for all who spend summer in the city. Specially arranged space on the terrace Manhattan Shopping Center it is to be a combination of an outdoor opera scene and a cinema under the sky among greenery. Admission to events is free.

Opera concerts, film screenings, travel meetings, art workshops, games with parents, dance parties and moments of quietness. Projekt manhattan to new cultural initiative in the center of Wrzeszcz. A series of artistic events on the terrace Manhattan Shopping Center will take place from June 29 until September 6. Green light for artists
– The idea of the event was born in the middle of quarantine, when closed in Pomeranian homes
independent artists and people of culture organized an internet conference in May “Sauce for Pomeranian Culture” – he says Ewa Kliszewska, coordinator of the Manhattan Project. – Thanks to this, the “Understanding for Culture” initiative group was created. Our main goal is to help and remedy the crisis threatening artists. The idea was supported by specialists in various fields. The local government and the Gdańsk business community have also joined the dialogue.
In front of us 60 days everyday cultural and entertainment presentations from various fields of art. Each of the days of the week will have a different character. The meetings will be conducted by invited guests – authorities in their fields. The whole is financed by local business.

Among the events among others “Manhattan Opera House”, or musical meetings whose starting point will be opera.
– It will be taken seriously, but sometimes we shatter its seriousness. We will look for her new sounds. Unobvious. Showing that opera is a very flexible and tolerant being. Opera and accordion? Opera for two harps? It is possible with us and with us. And all this under the summer sky and with the music of the city. Never before Verdi and Mozart filled so tightly streets of Wrzeszcz. This time GCH Manhattan will become the central, city opera generator. It will be beautiful, summer, singing, virtuoso – encourages Ewa Kliszewska.

– We will hear Bellcanti, three opera girls and one at the piano. In their performance the sweetest opera arias. This concert is a provocative proposition for opera orthodox and a lure for those who have sworn they have nothing to do with opera. This time the ladies will not only sing, but in conversation with Jerzy Snakowski will tell you why opera is for almost everyone.
However, on Thursday, July 2, you will be able to take part in Soul and body festivalwho will guide Tymon Tymański. It will be a science of meditation. The organizers encourage to bring their own mats and pillows.
