UPDATED

The eighth round of the highest English competition started on Friday with two matches. Manchester United then won 3: 1 at Everton on Saturday. Chelsea managed the duel with Sheffield and the protagonist of the West Ham – Fulham duel was the Czech midfielder Tomáš Souček.

Brighton drew at home with Burnley, followed by the Czech national team member Matěj Vydra in the second half, 0-0. Southampton then hosted Newcastle and won 2: 0, with Adams and Armstrong among the shooters. However, the main batch of matches is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Everton took the lead against Manchester United at home, but the Red Devils still turned the game around in the first half thanks to two goals from star Bruno Fernandes. The Red Devils already kept the lead and the safety shot at 3: 1 was scored by Edinson Cavani, for whom it was the first goal in the Manchester United jersey.

Crystal Palace later defeated rookie Leeds 4: 1. Although Chelsea lost to Sheffield United at home, she soon recovered and eventually won comfortably 4: 1. The shooters included Tammy Abraham, Thiago Silva, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell.

In the West Ham duel with Fulham, the first goal was scored in the 93rd minute by the Czech midfielder Tomáš Souček! Hammers thus gained valuable three points. However, they were low, because Fulham did not change the penalty after Souček’s shot in the setting. Another Czech representative, defender Vladimír Coufal, also played the whole match.

Liverpool drove to Manchester for the last match before the national team break, where he faced the local Citizens. Reds put Salah in the lead with a penalty in the 13th minute, but Gabriel Jesus equalized in the 31st minute. In the 42nd minute, de Bruyne did not take the opportunity in the form of a penalty kick and the points were finally divided for a draw 1: 1.

The biggest Sunday surprise in the Premier League was Arsenal’s match with Aston Villa. The pre-match favorites were, of course, the home team, who, however, did not confirm their role and already in the 1st minute received a goal, which VAR subsequently called off due to an offside. In the 25th minute, Saka scored his own goal and Aston Villa took the lead. Twenty-four-year-old Watkins shone in her jersey in the second half, scoring in the 72nd and 75th minutes, and Aston Villa leaves with a surprising 3-0 win.
