Arsenal were entitled to a penalty when Albert Sambi Lokonga aimed a ball at a defender’s arm in the penalty area, but the ball failed to hit the spot.
Arsenal came under pressure in the second half. Fabio Vieira first served Mohamed Elneny for the opener and shortly after put Eddie Nketiah on his way to a 0-2 draw.
Nketiah crossed the finish line completely: 0-3. In the next round, Arsenal will face their big rival in the league – Manchester City.
