The course of the match Arsenal Vs Chelsea

Arsenal, who need a win in order to maintain a chance to win, played aggressively from the early minutes. Chelsea were pressed and not given the opportunity to develop the game.

In the fourth minute, Chelsea’s goal almost broke when Cesar Azpilicueta’s backpass with his head approached Granit Xhaka. Luckily Kepa Arrizabalaga quickly threw the ball away.

In the 15th minute, Leandro Trossard provided a tug of bait in front of goal which was met by Gabriel Jesus. Even though he was escorted by two players, Jesus was still able to shoot but the ball was pushed over by Kepa.

Arsenal finally scored in the 18th minute through Martin Odegaard. Without control at the far post, Odegaard easily fired in the first time from Xhaka’s cross ball and penetrated Kepa’s net.

Chelsea were only able to escape Arsenal’s pressure in the last five minutes, but Arsenal continued to maintain their advantage until halftime.

In the second half, Arsenal did not relax the pressure and continued to bombard the Chelsea defense. In the 51st minute, Chelsea’s goal almost conceded if Thiago Silva didn’t throw the ball right on the line.

A minute later Xhaka shot again from outside the penalty box after being released from Wesley Fofana’s guard. But, Kepa could brush it off.

Bukayo Saka in the 56th minute received a short pass from Odegaard and fired a shot at the far post, which Kepa was able to save.

Chelsea cut the score to 1-3 in the 65th minute when Noni Madueke broke free from Oleksandr Zinchenko’s marker and cut in at the far post. Madueke mercilessly sinks into Ramsdale’s nets.
