ARS Occitanie opens a major consultation and gives you the floor

The Regional Health Agency needs you! ARS Occitanie is opening a major citizen consultation on the internet. It’s a first, and everyone can participate among the six million Occitans on a dedicated ARS website
confirms Didier Jaffre, the director general of the regional health agency, ARS Occitanie.

France Bleu: In the news of the day, there is a strike by liberal doctors at the call of all the unions. Should we expect a Black Tuesday at home?

Didier Jaffre: We tried to anticipate with all the doctors. There are ongoing treaty negotiations at the national level. There is a movement that is launched. We take into account the needs of the inhabitants and we ensure that there is no break in the continuity of care.

But concretely for those who listen to us and who see their doctor’s office closed, today, what do we do?

If there is no serious emergency, which is the majority of cases, the appointment will have to be postponed until tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. And then, of course, if there is a serious, life-threatening emergency, you have to call 15as is the case every day.

The GPs on strike today do not want us to have access to physiotherapists, advanced practice nurses without going through them. Do you understand this claim?

For several years now, health professionals, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists have been working interprofessionally or within regional healthcare professional communities (CPTS). So, I hear the arguments and at the same time, there is already a habit of working together. And the wish is that, in particular, people who today do not have a treating doctor can still have access to a treating team, that is to say both doctors and nurses within the framework of these CPTS. This is what is being worked on and negotiated with them.

National Refoundation Council

Didier Jaffre, so you are director general of ARS Occitanie. You are launching a major citizen consultation. What exactly does it consist of?

Simply to give the floor to all the inhabitants of the region, therefore to the six million Occitans and Occitans on their health and how they live it today. And above all, what would they like to have tomorrow? And knowing that depending on whether you live in a big city like Montpellier or Toulouse, or in the middle of the mountains, in the Pyrenees, or even in the Lot or in the Aveyron, the way in which you live your health, the way we are ultimately taken care of is different since the offer is different. Its lifestyles are different and it seems important to us to listen to the inhabitants. You know that the President of the Republic launched the National Council for Refoundation at the end of last year. We ourselves held meetings in each of the departments. What was called the CNR health with the stakeholders, ie the elected officials, the representatives of the users, the health offers.

And precisely, what more then will this site bring?

We want to go further. That is to say that for once, it is really the inhabitants who must tell us this is what they live, what they want. And as we are in the process of carrying out the regional health project, well, we must really take into account the needs of the inhabitants. Whether it is not just words. Car we never really listen to what people have to say about their health. And so that is really the subject of this major public consultation. This is a big first. You really have to fill out this questionnaire correctly.

13 departmental health plans

Can those who have difficulty accessing the Internet still participate in this great consultation of the French people?

Yes, so it will be broadcast everywhere also via certain written media. There will be QR codes that you can flash via your phone. And then, of course, if you don’t have all that, you can send us the questionnaire in writing. We will deal with it. Again, the goal is that you really get the most responses. Last night, I already had 300 people who had filled out the questionnaire. So out of 6 million, that may not seem like much. But in the end, in barely two hours, it was good. And it’s open until March 31.

What are you going to do after all these answers, especially the proposed solutions?

We will retain all of them and analyze them all. It will be sometime in April. And then afterwards, depending on everything we have to go up. We will be able to feed our regional health project that we are already developing with the professionals, with the representatives of the users. We must have before the summer. We are also going to draw up thirteen departmental health plans, so that we are as close as possible to these territories. The inhabitants of Haute-Garonne and Lozère will have spoken. We will also have visions by department of all the wishes of the inhabitants.
