The Portuguese driver who had been reported missing in Spain was caught in France.
According to what the Morning mail managed to find out from an official source of the GNR of Vila Real, the case was being treated as a disappearance until this Tuesday. “Today we were informed that he was detained on French territory,” said Captain Rui Novais.
The reasons that led to the arrest of Bruno Cardoso are not yet known, as well as the coercion measures considered convenient.
It is recalled that the truck driver’s family, resident in the municipality of Alijó, formalized a complaint with the GNR reporting the disappearance, last week, after several attempts at contact.
The driver was on a business trip between Portugal and Italy. The Portuguese authorities, together with the Spanish and French authorities, have now started a joint investigation, which is now ending.
