The main perpetrator of sending hundreds dog with a truck arrested by the Semarang Police, Donal Harianto (43), admitted to supplying 300 to 400 dogs every month to Klaten, Central Java (Central Java). This resident of Gemolong, Sragen Regency, said he had been in action for 10 years.
Reported detikJateng, Wednesday (10/1/2024), Donal was assisted by four Sragen residents, namely Ariyoto (49), Wagimin (62), Sulasno (48), and Ervan Yulianto (29), in his action. Now the five of them are suspects.
“I’ve been around for maybe 10 years. Per month it’s around 300-400 heads,” said Donal at the Semarang Police Headquarters, today.
Then he delivered it to the Wonosari District area in Klaten, then the customers came to pick it up.
“We just wanted to stop, we didn’t know there was a ban. We’ve tried to look for official documents. When we got to Subang, the officers were used to it, UPTD Rp. 550 thousand, police sometimes Rp. 300 thousand. Just (a statement) of bringing animals and not the proceeds of crime,” he stressed.
Semarang Police have also confirmed Donal’s statement. As a result, it was suspected that someone had faked the permit to send the dogs.
“From the confessions of the police, police and government departments, that’s it upload on their official account that said the letter was fake, did not match the format. From the suspect’s confession, the person faked the letter. From the examination, several (dog) contains disease. This violates and is imposed on the perpetrator. “It will be imposed on the perpetrator who falsified the letter which may be considered fake,” explained Semarang Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Wiwit Ari Wibisono.
