The Zurich cantonal police arrested two men in Winterthur on Thursday evening (September 28th, 2023) who have allegedly committed several robbery crimes since the beginning of September.
In September, several men became victims of robbery in the Bülach and Uster districts. The crimes occurred after they arranged to meet via chat. The victims were sometimes forced at gunpoint to hand over personal valuables such as cash or watches to the perpetrator. Some men suffered injuries.
Police investigations ultimately led to the arrest of the two suspected robbers. It concerns a Swiss and a Brazilian, both of whom live in the canton of Zurich. After being questioned by the police, they will be brought to the public prosecutor’s office.
