Russian special operation in Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) need to advance 16 kilometers to overcome the Russian defenses. Columnist Chris Panella writes about it.

“Now Ukraine will need to clear this 10-mile path (16-kilometer — approx. URA.RU) in order to successfully break through the Russian defenses,” writes Panella in the article business insider. The author notes that if the Armed Forces of Ukraine fail to do this, their Western equipment will be vulnerable to Russian weapons.

Earlier, a former analyst at the Council on Foreign Relations at the Pentagon, Barry Posen, who studied the breakthrough of the internal border of Germany by Soviet troops during World War II, suggested that in the event of a breakthrough of the Russian defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army would launch a counterattack. According to him, this is why Kyiv’s counteroffensive does not make sense.
