Football legend Arjen Robben is returning to the field. The 36-year-old Dutch midfielder is returning to his youth team.
Arjen Robben said in an emotional video:
“Dear football fans and FC Groningen fans. I was twelve years old when I started working at the club’s academy. I had my home debut in the highest competition as a 16-year-old against Feyenoord. Then I switched to PSV. After a wonderful 18 year adventure, I come home. Back to Groningen! ”
He added that he was coming in times of crisis and after long conversations with the management he decided that I would help the club the most by starting to play football again.
