A sandstorm engulfed the metropolis of Chandler, situated in Arizona, on Friday. The phenomenon caused a ability outage in hundreds of properties.

This phenomenon, termed “haboob” (“robust wind” in Arabic), skilled gusts of more than 100 km / h and triggered quite a few electric power outages. Virtually 5,000 households were hit.

This variety of sandstorm commonly occurs “for the duration of the development of a storm line, these are downward currents reaching dry ground and lifting desert sand,” the media reported.
