Ariana Grande and Bowen Young Break Character in ‘Saturday Night Live’ Sketch

Ariana Grande and Bowen Young couldn’t hold it together during a sketch on Saturday Night Live earlier this weekend. The duo performed songs that were left out of the hit film, ‘Moulin Rouge’. The hilarious mishaps took place while singing, “Up Where We Belong,”, “Do-Re-Mi,”, “Creep,”, “Happy Birthday”, and “Pride (In the Name of Love)”, amongst others.

Lost Focus and Hysterical Laughter

The sketch had almost reached its end when Young began to lose his composure while performing Shania Twain’s hit, “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”. As the fit of giggles ensued, Grande couldn’t hold herself together either. The comedy continued when Yang attempted to sing “I Will Always Love You,” made famous by Whitney Houston in the film ‘The Bodyguard’.

Each occurrence of “Happy Birthday” caused Young and Grande to momentarily lose control, until they were able to regain their composure and close the sketch performing the “Defying Gravity” end riff from the musical ‘Wicked’.

Emmy Speculations and Other Sketches

Impressed by Grande’s comedic abilities on SNL, her devoted fans are already stating their hopes for her to win an Emmy. Prior to this memorable sketch, Grande participated in a sketch about “people pleasers” alongside the night’s host, Josh Brolin. In addition to her comedic talents, Grande showcased two songs from her latest album, ‘Eternal Sunshine’, including “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” and “Imperfect For You”.
