Locked inside the house for about 15 days was the 32-year-old who was abused by her husband in Argos, who beat her and covered her with bleach. In fact, as her lawyer, Vangelis Lambropoulos, told ANT1, everything that happened, happened in front of their children.
According to the defense attorney, the 32-year-old is in a bad state both psychologically and physically and is currently trying to recover from her injuries.
“The accused acted systematically undisturbed. He had cut Eleni off from contact with her sister and her father. This is what those who systematically abuse women do,” said Mr. Lambropoulos. We remind you that the 34-year-old was remanded in custody.
“Eleni was locked in a house for at least 15 days. Everything that was done, was done in front of the children. For 15 days Eleni did not have a mobile phone, when the situation reached its climax. For two weeks the children did not go to school,” he said.
“He didn’t abuse children”
The lawyer made a special reference to the 34-year-old’s apology, quoting one of his words. “I am a lover of the female sex. All the women want me” he reportedly said in his apology.
“Unfortunately, small communities don’t speak up. Since yesterday, however, I have received four phone calls and counseled women who had been abused by their husbands,” said the lawyer, stressing that the accused did not abuse the children, who are already being monitored by a psychologist and a social worker.
