Argentina will receive almost 850,000 doses of AstraZeneca donated by Spain

Last Wednesday, the Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti, announced that Argentina will receive a new vaccine donation from Spain during the month of September.

“A very important novelty is that I have just signed a ministerial resolution accepting a donation from Spain of vaccines of AstraZeneca almost 850.000 doses that would arrive in September“, said the head of the sanitary portfolio at a press conference after receive the first doses of the vaccine Pfizer.




From the Argentine Cargo Terminal, Vizzotti announced that it is an offer and a management carried out with the Minister of Health of Spain, Carolina Darias, with whom he met a few days ago in the framework of the G20 ministerial meeting held in Rome.

“All the papers are already signed. I have just signed the ministerial resolution. It is an important novelty so, as from the beginning: the largest number of vaccines as quickly as possible according to Argentina’s strategic plan,” said Vizzotti.

This is the second time that Argentina has received vaccines from Spain. On August 22, he arrived at the Ezeiza Airport a shipment of 400,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines that were applied to complete the vaccination schedules started with the vaccine developed in the United Kingdom.
