Argentina: more than 7 thousand new cases of corona within 24 hours

The number of people infected with the new Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Argentina has exceeded 260,000, after more than 7,000 cases were recorded within 24 hours.

This came according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health in the country, on Tuesday evening, indicating that the number of injuries reached 260,911 cases, after 7,043 injuries were recorded within 24 hours.

The statement indicated that 240 new deaths were recorded as a result of infection with the virus during the past 24 hours, raising the total to 5204 cases.

Since March 20, Argentina has applied social isolation that allows citizens to leave the house in order to meet basic needs only, during the time they are allowed to leave by virtue of the nature of their work.

On the other hand, HIV infections in Chile rose to 376,616, after 1566 new cases were recorded during the past 24 hours, while deaths rose to 10 thousand and 178 after 39 deaths were recorded.

The country’s Ministry of Health indicated, in a statement issued by it, that the number of people recovered reached 349,000, and 541 recovered, and that there are 1,268 cases still being treated in hospitals, including 211 critical cases.

The statement also indicated that one million and 889 thousand tests have been conducted to detect the virus since its spread in the country.

Corona infected, as of Wednesday dawn, more than 20 million and 505 thousand people in the world, of whom more than 744 thousand died, and more than 13 million and 427 thousand recovered, according to the “worldmeter” website, which is specialized in the health of virus victims.
