On Thursday 10 November, at 6.30 pm, the Religion for Dummies collection of books will be presented at the Paulinas Bookshop (San Bernardo, 114). A meeting in which the priest and writer Chema Álvarez, MSC, will talk with Javier Trapero, director of communication for the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.
Religion for dummies is a collection that wants to offer simple guides on the various aspects of faith to a sector of the public that, for various reasons, does not know religion, but is interested in approaching it. The ten titles that compose it are dedicated to the Gospel, mysticism, prayer, the Bible, God, the Church, life, the devil, Mary and the saints, healing-salvation. In addition to the simplicity and quality of the explanations, the books are distinguished by the informative nature and the natural and carefree style of their author, or by the insertion of boxes with the most exceptional vocabulary of each topic.
The author
Chema Álvarez (Valladolid, 1947) is a Missionary of the Sacred Heart and a priest since 1976. She studied Philosophy, Theology and Spirituality, and worked in parishes and schools, especially in pastoral care. You have been collaborating for years in religious publications and lately you have turned to the books with which you try to share her faith.
