“The prevention of the destruction of bridges likely indicates that Ukrainian forces may be trying to interfere with Russian movement in eastern Bakhmut and limit potential Russian exit routes from Bakhmut to the west,” the analysts added.
Experts also noted that Russian troops have been fighting for the capture of Bakhmut since about May 2022 and suffered huge losses during the fighting.
The situation in Bakhmut
