Apple Lyrics Components Supplier Samsung

For months, there have been reports that Apple is working on equipping the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a periscope lens. The Cupertino-headquartered company is reportedly still choosing partners who can supply it for this need

Meanwhile, Jahwa Electronics has teamed up with Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics on actuators. The company will reportedly supply Samsung for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy A54 series.

Apple’s current suppliers – Alps Alpine and Mizumi – ship spring-type actuators for iPhone cameras. However, ball-type actuators from Jahwa can be faster, more accurate, and use less power, which is why Apple wanted to make the switch.

Both LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics have made significant investments in their camera component facilities. This actuator will reportedly prove to be quite profitable for both companies.

Apple’s first periscope lens will likely arrive later this year with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Fans of the smaller Pro will have to wait until next year, with the iPhone 16 series, to get their hands on the longer zoom.
