They are indeed the first wireless headphones from the Cupertino company to benefit from an active noise reduction system. They do this by integrating microphones outside the earbuds to analyze ambient noise and reduce noise while listening. It’s not worth the effectiveness of a helmet, but the result is already stunning.
Other practical features are available in the table, such as adaptive equalization to adapt the sound according to the shape of your ears or the transparency mode to hear the sounds around you (the opposite of noise reduction).
Apple has also improved battery life compared to older models. The AirPods Pro offer endurance of more than 24 hours with its charging box (compatible wireless charging), at a rate of 4:30 hours of listening per recharge. In addition, they are now IPX4 certified to guarantee waterproofness against sweat and rain.
