Apple Rumored to Introduce USB Type-C Port in iPhone 15 Series

A recent online leak revealed that Apple plans to replace the charging port on the iPhone 15B seriesUSB Type-C portwhile another rumor online indicates that the tech giant may introduce a braided USB Type-C cable with the iPhone 15 series.

And MacRumors, a specialist in Apple news, reported that USB Type-C is 50% longer, with more durable, color-coordinated cables that come with a plastic casing on both ends and feature strain relief tubes.

It is expected that Apple will offer the cables in white, black, yellow, purple and orange color options, to be compatible with the iPhone 15 series.

The iPhone 15 series consists of four smartphones – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

iPhone 15 series: What to expect

Mark Gurman, a famous Apple analyst from Bloomberg, revealed that the upcoming versions of iPhone 15 Pro iPhone 15 Pro Max is poised to stand out with a titanium frame.

These upcoming smartphones are expected to feature slimmer bezels, and there is ongoing speculation that the traditional mute switch may give way to an action button.

Both models of smartphones will be powered by Apple’s own A17 Bionic chipset.

Notably, sources indicate that the transition to a USB Type-C charging port is in progress for all variants within the iPhone 15 series.

On the other hand, expectations are high for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus versions, as it is likely to include the A16 Bionic chipset.
