Seven days after the release of the last trial version, iOS 13.3.1 is now available for all users to download. In addition to various bug fixes, the update also offers the option of deactivating the ultra-wideband processor U1 installed in the new iPhone models.
iOS 13.3.1 can be loaded via Settings -> General -> Software update. The file size varies depending on the device, but is usually less than 300 MB.
iOS 13.3.1 – this is new:
- Addresses an issue with communication limits that could cause contacts to be added without entering the screen time code.
- Adds a setting that controls the use of location services by the U1 ultra wideband chip.
- Corrected an issue that could cause a short delay before editing Deep Fusion photos on iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro.
- Resolves a problem with Mail that removed images could be loaded even though the “Load removed images” setting was deactivated.
- Addresses an issue in which multiple undo dialog boxes could appear in Mail.
- Fixed an issue where FaceTime could use the back ultra wide angle camera instead of the wide angle camera.
- Resolves an issue where sending push messages over Wi-Fi could fail.
- Corrects an issue with CarPlay that could result in distorted sound during phone calls in certain vehicles.
- Adds support for Siri voices in Indian English for the HomePod.
