This week, Apple launched a new line of colorful products. Introducing the new Apple AirPods Max over-ear headphones
The press conference presented the brand new format of AirPods Max, now with a headband and over-ear pads. “The custom acoustic design, combined with powerful H1 chips and advanced software, enables AirPods Max to use computer audio to deliver the ultimate personal listening experience wirelessly.” Apple has spent several years developing the new AirPods Max, with the goal of creating headphones with exceptional acoustic performance.
Apple gave AirPods Max a breathable mesh canopy, covering the headband to distribute weight and reduce pressure from the headband. A stainless steel headband frame is said to provide strength and adapt best to all head shapes and sizes. Memory foam cushions create a more effective seal to block bleeding and sound intrusions.
Apple says it created a special mechanism to attach the ear cups to the bracelet so that it can balance and distribute the pressure of the ear cups more evenly, and allow each cup to pivot and turn independently.
When it comes to sound quality, Apple lets it be known that they gave it their all. The AirPods Max feature an Apple-designed 40mm dynamic speaker. The lows are rich and deep, the mids precise and a crisp high frequency extension so every note can be heard. According to the press release, a unique dual neodymium ring magnet motor allows AirPods Max maintain a total harmonic distortion of less than 1% over the entire audible range, even at maximum volume.
Les AirPods Max d’Apple have all the features that users expect from AirPods, including active noise cancellation to eliminate outside noise and Transparency Mode to hear and interact with the world around you. AirPods Max will have additional features including automatic switching that allows users to switch audio between iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Plus, audio sharing lets you stream audio between two sets of AirPods on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV 4K.
Apple’s digital crown, which you saw on the Apple Watch, reappears here on the headphones. The dial gives users volume control and the ability to play or pause audio, skip tracks, answer or end phone calls, and activate Siri. AirPods Max come with a special charging case to keep them secure and full. With an expected battery life of 20 hours, they should last all day, and more.
AirPods Max will be available in five colors, including space gray, silver, sky blue, green, and pink, and will be available to order starting today, with availability starting Tuesday 15th. December.
