AOC starts selling the Agon AG353UCG, a 35 “monitor with a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 200Hz. The manufacturer showed the monitor for the first time during the 2017 gamescom.
The AG353UCG is now in AOC’s Agon series in the Pricewatch for prices from around 2440 to 2500 euros. For that amount, buyers receive a curved screen with a diagonal of 35 inches, an aspect ratio of 21: 9 and a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels.
The screen is built around a va-panel that offers a maximum refresh rate of 200Hz. The maximum brightness is 1000cd / m², which means that the model has received a DisplayHDR 1000 certification from VESA. There are 512 local zones for dimming.
AOC already showed the AG353UCG during the gamescom in August 2017 and the official introduction followed in April last year. Why the availability took a long time afterwards is not known.
