At Montreal customs, 21,000 antiques were seized when they tried to import them into Canada. According to a Canadian expert from the Royal Ontario Museum, a large part of the objects are authentic antiques and originate from the lands of today’s Bulgaria.
In connection with this information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already taken the necessary actions and is coordinating the efforts of all competent institutions. A procedure is underway, through which the Bulgarian judicial authorities will make an official request to the Canadian authorities for the return of the detained items to Bulgaria.
