Anthony Martial called Ralph Rangnick refused to enter the current squad Manchester United oppose Aston Villa. The French striker denied it.
MU visited Villa Park in the 22nd week of the English League, Sunday (16/1/2022) early morning WIB. The game ended without a winner.
Two goals from Bruno Fernandes were returned by Jacob Ramsey and Philippe Coutinho. The 2-2 score lasted until the game broke up.
After the match, MU manager Ralf Rangnick said there were players who refused to enter the squad against Villa. That one player is Anthony Martial.
“He doesn’t want to be in the squad,” he said Ralph Rangnick as reported by SportBible.
“Usually he would be in the squad, but this time he didn’t want to. That’s the reason why he didn’t go with us yesterday,” he explained.
Martial responded to Rangnick’s comments. Through his social media, the 26-year-old denied that he refused to compete for MU.
“I have never refused to play for Man United. I have been here for 7 years and have never disrespected, and never disrespected the club and the fans,” he wrote on his Instagram story.
This season, Martial was left out of the MU starting XI. He has only played 10 times and scored one goal.
Lately, Martial has been rumored to be leaving Manchester United several times. Some time ago, his agent said his client wanted to leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
Contract Anthony Martial himself still until 2024 at MU. So far, several clubs that are reportedly interested in asking for his hand are Sevilla and Juventus.
