Probably in 2023 the successor to Ant-Man (2015) in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) appear in theaters worldwide. Now it appears that this sequel is going to be a lot larger!
Previously released Peyton Reed already know that the third film will again have a big role for Evangeline Lilly‘s Hope Van Dyne / Wasp and now it becomes clear that the film distances itself from the somewhat smaller-scale set-up of the first two films.
“The third Ant-Man movie will be a much bigger, more elaborate movie than the first two,” Reed said of the film to SiriusXM. “This will be given a completely different visual structure.”
Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing?
The first film was still mainly a crack film and the second was already a bit grander with the introduction of the Quantum Realm. The bigger element in the third movie could be the introduction of the villain MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing). Despite its rather strange appearance, MODOK is and remains one of the more frequently used villains in Marvel Comics.
